An American Werewolf in London (1981) Directed by: John Landis A lot of horror films that many have watched I haven't. To admit that, it is hard. I felt for the most part I'd be silently judged for missing out. Believe me, I have. I have missed out on some of these classic horror films. I do feel if I watched this before I wouldn't appreciate it as much as I do today.
I love the comedy. I love the bone crunching raw transformation. I love the settings, how you feel you are walking lone down these roads. How strong of a cast it has to still hold such a presence in my mental review space. The soundtrack, ingenious on it's own. If you haven't seen this. You really should because you are missing out. I kick myself for not seeing this sooner but I also wouldn't have loved it as much as I do now. This has catapulted into my top 10 favorite films list. I haven't been able to forget it. It was something so new and fresh. Something so different yet familiar that I can't put why. Maybe because the imagery was something I have seen so often but never put two and two together. Amazing doesn't sum up this film.
