Batman: The Animated Series (1992) Review

Batman: The Animated Series (1992)

Yesterday evening I introduced one of my favorite cartoons to my niece, the Batman animated series. Instead of picking and choosing episodes for her. I gave her the freedom to pick the one's she wanted to watch. On the next slide you'll find her 6 picks. Trust me, she wanted to see more but it was way past her bedtime. 😅 She was hooked. I think it also helped that she had the choice to pick and choose. I have to admit a part of me felt emotional because I remember being exactly her age when this aired.

I remember waiting patiently for each new episode to air, eagerly. I was hooked. The stories were rich in writing. The art had the noir aesthetic. The colors aided the mood of the story. The characters!!! The characters were amazing!

My niece ironically picked one of my favorite episodes 'Cat Scratch Fever'. I loved it growing up because Selina's character resonated with me. She wanted to save the animals. Ironically again my niece liked that episode for the same reason. She liked Catwoman because she tried to save the cats and dogs from the mean people.

My niece had questions after each episode obviously since she isn't too familiar and which I was happy to answer. She really really enjoyed this to the point she lied about the time so she could watch two more episodes. 😅❤

If you haven't seen it I highly recommend it. Even if you're not a Batman fan from a fan of a mystery, rich writing, depth, and just plain fun it's worth it.

I am inspired now to begin a ranking and review for this series episode by episode. Possibly 😅🤔😜

10/10 ❤🦇
