Evil Dead (1981) Review

The Evil Dead [1981]

Directed by: Sam Raimi

A group of friends plan a vacation in a cabin away from it all but something ominous is lying dormant in that cabin. It's waiting patiently for its host and a chance to bring in more to their side. Who will survive? Check out, this classic!

From the moments leading to the cabin as a viewer you feel the mood that something isn't quite right. The setting is a warning but goes unnoticed. The casting was well done. Everything had/has the proper elements to make this film an instant classic. All this and more are reasons why Evil Dead as a franchise is a staple to any horror fan. Why after all these years it continues to impact and become an instant favorite for all moviegoers alike.

I unfortunately, never saw it in its entirety a few years ago. I'm glad I watched it now. There's something about 80s horror and their effects that I love. They push the envelope enough and they create lasting scenes that you find yourself quoting or referencing later on. Give this one a shot if you haven't already! Join the rest of us! Lol 💥🤣
