Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (1974) Review

Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell [1974]

Directed by: Terrence Fisher

Dr. Helder is admitted to an insane asylum for the crimes of "sorcery." It's obvious that there really is something wrong behind the walls of the asylum as staff illy receive Dr. Helder. Fate intervenes at the most opportune moment! Baron Victor Frankenstein steps in from the shadows and stops the cruel treatment of Dr. Helder. Strange? Seeing as he was assumed perished in the last film! It seems like the Baron might have changed his ways. At least that's what Dr. Carl Victor leads us to believe. Has the Baron or I mean Carl really given up his experimentations for a life of peaceful interactions with the patients? Hmmm... 🤔

Bloody, eerily romantic, tragic, and thoughtful. I found this film interesting. I loved the plot. The settings were alluring as the plot was. If you like tales of the macabre gives this one a shot. Hammer doesn't disappoint. I enjoyed it!

9/10
