Gretel & Hansel [2020] Review

Gretel & Hansel [2020]

Directed by: Oz Perkins

Behind every person is a story and a history. What we see isn't always truth. The person's truth can sometimes come birthed from a grim past.

This film dives into the lore of Hanzel and Gretel. It has imagery that's unnerving with captivating cinematography. I'm not sure why this tanked. I enjoyed it. I felt uneasy and I have always found fairy tales to be interesting. This story is weaved and pull together under an occult and haunting image and it lingers days after I viewed it. The music adds to the mood. It's artistic in cinematic form and I really have no complaints.

7.9/10
