Hands of the Ripper (1971) Review

Hands of the Ripper (1971) Directed by: Peter Sasdy Streamed on: Amazon Prime

"Since time began men have been murdered by one another . Every time, it happens, we hunt the murderer down we catch them and use something called the law to hunt him down and murder him in return. We've tortured him, burned him alive, disemboweled him, though nowadays of course we are more humane we simply hang them. All this time we have never once tried to understand him. To find out why. Why one human murders another." -Dr. John

Can everyone be saved? Can a person really escape their past? These are questions deeply probing the mind of Dr. John who decides to take it upon himself to save Anna from fate. As more bodies turn up, Anna has to determine who pulls the strings. Is it good natured Dr. John or dear ol' dad Jack the Ripper! Tune in to see how it all pans out and does Anna really stand a chance to escape her father's shadow.

My thoughts: Aesthetically engaging, superb plot, and alluring settings. In particular Dr. John's house. 🖤

Final Score: 8.5/10-Morgana
