Pixels and Mementos

At night the lights are bright

The wet pavement mirrors the memories the day holds

The memories and echoes from busy people running around chasing their dreams and

hiding their woes

At night the lights dim down and cast a shadow over the horizon

Grasping at reality and inching our minds just a little closer to the next

Day or next memory

Life seems pleasant in the night light.

At night repetition begins once more the reverb of mirrored screens

echo into our thoughts, pleasantries, and memories from the day before

Yet I wonder how much closer the daylight truly is.

In the night light, I find the shadows from all familiarity and reasons without doubt

That a song just looms over my mind resting all unpleasant thoughts at bay

Where skies seem grey my memory remains.

Yet I wonder how much closer I am to the daylight.

The fog sets and resets the night lights

Consuming it's grey matter around the world at sleep

Still I lie awake hoping for a gentle breeze from the morning light

Will morning ever come? Will night time ever be the same again? So many questions

and it feels like they will go unanswered. I wonder and hope restlessly for a sign of the

morning light.

Where all is new again. Where the kind spirits lay in their nooks resting for a chance at a reset.

I rest for a chance at the night light.
