Speedway (1968) Review

Speedway [1968]

 Directed by: Norman Taurog

I'm one of those people who actually doesn't necessarily hate all the Elvis movies. Yeah, some of them aren't that great but some are actually pretty decent. This one was one of those that wasn't terrible but not that great.

Obviously, the plus is the music. The plot wasn't too bad but the best scene of the movie was... the chase/fight sequence. You may ask... chase/fight sequence? I might be intrigued 🤔 Intrigued you should be, I'd say! ☝️😁 What you would witness is one rather humorous chase with corny dialogue but wait... 🤚😉 there's more!!!

☝️😄 Not only is there a rather misplaced chase sequence and arbitrary debate in a crowded elevator but there's a confrontation/fight that breaks out. The fun doesn't stop there without a punch 🥊 by none other than the king sending someone sliding straight into said elevator and.... he's S A F E! ⚾️🤚

For that scene alone gave this film and extra 2 points 🥊🥊🤣

If you love Elvis and Nancy you'll probably love this. This is decent for a one time watch. The only thing worth staying for is that knockout because I'm still laughing 🥊😂. I also enjoyed the racing.

6.7/10🏁
