Spies in Disguise Movie Review

Spies in Disguise [2019]

Directed by: Troy Quane and Nick Bruno

Based on: Pigeons:Impossible by Lucas Martell

Lance Sterling is a super spy. You know what else is super? His ego! His ego is at a record sky high after returning from another mission. However, upon arrival to headquarters everything is about to change when his path crosses Walter [a nerdy eccentric lab tech]. When one of Walter's inventions "embarrasses" Lance on his mission he returns to let Walter know what's what. Unfortunately, for Lance things take a major down turn for him and he is forced to go visit Walter again. It's at Walter's house where what Lance's view goes a fowl. The world he knew now get's scaled back when he is turned into a pigeon! How will this super spy solve this case? Will he ever return back to normal? Tune in and find out.

My thoughts: I have to admit I really didn't want to see this one. I didn't think I would enjoy it. I definitely did enjoy it! I loved the aesthetic and homage to 60s/70s spy films and mysteries. I loved the humor. I enjoyed the character back stories.

I would love to add more of my thoughts but I don't want to give out spoilers.

My final score: 9/10
