The Hunger [1983]

Directed by: Tony Scott

Immortality has a lustful lure to some people. It pulls you in seductively to an unquenchable thirst to live forever...young?! The hunger that feeds on those that dream of immortality is the grasp of this film. Will they be forever...young?!

Immortality might be the lure for the characters of this story but for me personally it was Bauhaus and David Bowie (non mummified). 😅

Back a few weeks ago, I asked the question favorite vampire movie and well this one popped up. I never heard much about it but it drew me in with Peter Murphy and the Lynchian aesthetic and mood. Lol In fact, that was the selling point for me was Bowie and Bauhaus. 🤣🖤

The casting was strong and this film has drawn a cult following. If you're looking for a little seductive pulse in your horror romance give this a shot.

8.3/10
