The Urn Review

Urn (2018) short Directed & Written by: Ben Steiner Streamed on: Hulu

A woman is coping with the loss of her mother. Can she or can't she fulfill her final request? You will have to view this to find out.

My thoughts: After viewing it 4x it's safe to say I can review it. I don't understand it. It started off promising. It had an air of artistic creative that visually appeals to me in films. It was all about the setting and creating a mood that coincides with the actress. If the film had more time to explain what happened I think it could stand a chance to show promise. There's a point or two where people might jump. It started to feel like a music video for a nu metal band towards the ending. Just saying 🤷‍♀️ It showed promise in the first two minutes of the film. It's leading towards the end that just falls flat. I think if the film was silent it would have more of a dramatic appeal to it. I believe that was something the director tried to strive for. Overall 4/10 Setting and Cinematography- 9/10- Morgana
