The Wolf Man (1941) Review

The Wolf Man (1941)

Directed by: George Waggner

As I mentioned previously, on Halloween weekend I got the opportunity to see a double feature of the Universal Monsters. The Wolf Man, was my second. I've actually seen this one a handful of times before but never on a big screen.

When people say these classic monster films can't scare people I often times refer to this one. My sister still is scared of the Wolf Man. She like myself, had our first introduction to a clip of it in Beethoven. She's tried to see it in its entirety but Lon Chaney Jr.'s performance still haunts her.

The Wolf Man, like many of the classic monsters and yesterday's entry of the Invisible Man is deeply loved and cherished. Its haunting cinematography and werewolf lore attracts the old Hollywood aficionado in us. I love classic horror seeing these two films on big screen reminded me how much I do. ❤

Talbot seems to have his hands full after the trails of tragedy befall him time and time again. Will Larry solve the mystery that lays in Wales or will he be the center of the town's lore?

Memorable, cherished, and overall moody. You can't beat the classics. 🖤🐺
