Tristana (1970) Review

Tristana (1970)

Directed by: Luis Buñel

This film is one of the 1001 Films You Must Watch Before You Die list. I personally don't see why.

The cinematography is unmistakably captivating on lending its hand for mood. I wasn't invested in this one. I didn't care for any of the characters. I found the idea of this cringey. Don Lupe is a creep. He treats Tristana like a wife AND DAUGHTER. 🤢 He's cringey. The ending makes you question your perspective.

You'll either really love this or like me, not so much. Maybe the idea was lost on me. I was to focused on the cringe factor than the film. 🤷‍♀️

5/10
