Can Doctor Price help Sarah find some harmony in her estate before the manor consumes her frame of mind? Tune in, and find out.
I love the aesthetic of the film. Gothic Horror?! Sign me up! The Winchester Mystery House was prepossessing. The House had an allure to pull you into it. You wanted to stay and you wanted to visit. The allure couldn't hide that some of the performances fell short in my opinion. This had a lot of potential to be a great film for me. I just didn't enjoy. It wasn't terrible let me say that. It had beautiful cinematography but it was caked with jump scares. I felt that some were incredibly predictable. For that, I just lost interest in the narrative of the film. Some of the ghosts just seemed so overtly computerized. I felt at points I was watching a video game story which isn't necessarily a bad thing, instead of a film. Sarah Winchester was just bland.
I'll say it did have a nice background story, the house earns this rating some extra points, and the cinematography does as well.
