50 First Dates Review

50 First Dates [2004]

Directed by: Peter Segal

Henry Roth, is this stories playboy. He hooks in the tourists hearts and leaves them before commitment can proceed. The chase is on but one day he happens in at a diner. Thing's suddenly change when he spots a breakfast hut in need of a door. There's undeniable chemistry and it's evident between Henry and Lucy. There's just one small problem. The next day Lucy has no recollection of them ever meeting? How could this be possible? It turns out Lucy suffers from short term memory loss after an accident rendered her so. Henry's heart is set on Lucy. How can he make Lucy fall in love with him? I'll guess you'll have to find out.

This was one of my personal favorite romantic comedies. I will admit after this most recent watch it didn't have the effect on me as it had previous watches. It's still a good movie. It's got moments of comedy between moments of romance. It's a story about falling in love. Finding the special person who you love and just knowing after that first kiss.

8/10
