This film illustrates the beautifully surreal yet broken world through the eyes of Van Gogh. The cinematography alone is a work of art that does him justice. Dafoe does a stand out performance captivating the frailty he carried. It was real yet it felt out of this world.

At times, I had issues with the pacing. The cinematography really is breathtaking and along with Dafoe's performance it was magnetizing.

This film is a work of art that builds the portrait of a deeply misunderstood and gifted painter. 💖
