Call me Kat [2021] Season 1

Based on: Miranda by Miranda Hart

Produced by: Eric Norsoph, Alison Mo Massey, Mackenzie Gabriel-Vaught, Kelly-Anne Lee

Streamed on: Hulu

Very true to textbook sitcom with nostalgic nods to one's that came before with a modern lens on it. Kat, decides to follow her dreams thus causing a slight tension with her mother. She opens a cat cafe and each episode is loaded with puns! It's cutesy and cheeky. It's funny and entertaining. They end the episode with a wave to the camera which to me is still weird. I did like how Mayim spoke to the camera. It reminded me of all the sitcoms I loved growing up.

I liked this series okay. It wasn't terrible and I relatively finished it in no time flat. It reminded me of Clarissa Explains it All with puns and cats. If you like Mayim Bialik give this one a shot.

7.5/10
