Can't Hardly Wait Review

Directed by: Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont

The end of the school year helps bring forth many emotions, for Preston it is hope. Hope that the post graduation part will present the be chance he has been patiently waiting for; a moment for fate to intervene. He Hope's fate will help him express his emotions to the girl of his dreams, Amanda!

The day of the big party arrives with hope and a letter. A letter for Amanda to know how he feels about her. Unfortunately, time is also cashing it's chips dueling with fate for this opportunity. Time doesn't fan fairly for Preston. You see, Amanda is recently single. Which in reality can be a good thing for Preston! Now that Amanda is single... every guy is racing along with Preston for a chance to date her. Will opportunity smile on Preston or will the cards shed a cruder light, check it out!

I remember in the 90s this film was pretty big. I never really had a chance to watch it up until now. Watching it now, it still has some good themes and memorable moments. It does feel stale at points due to the typical high school cliches that are obvious in this genre of films. It still had some funny scenes. Overall, not half bad the ending was expected but I liked it.

7/10
