⚡CW's The Flash Season 5 Review⚡
*WARNING* SOME spoilers
Produced by: Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment, with Todd Helbing
In season 5 we explore the themes of secrets, choices, revenge, and family.
Our family helps shape our ground foundation of our personality. However, like previous seasons this one deals with the consequences of altering the timeline. How much will you sacrifice to meet the father you never knew? Nora has questions and she has the opportunity with fresh new powers to test them! Presented with the choice to possibly meet them, who wouldn't make the choice to do so? Although this choice leads her to get guidance from Barry's number one nemesis! That's the choice Nora makes to meet her father and connect with family.
Family, our family may also hold secrets. Secrets that could cause a domino of consequences. These consequences effect not just their inner circle but others. Others that have a vendetta fueled with anger and an unrealistic pain. A villain can be shaped by a hero’s choices in more ways than one. The words we feed onto others have consequences.
This mirrors into this season’s newest villain. The words and their vendetta fuel a chain into the same path that can only lead to more lives lost. Will team flash save the day but at what cost?
⚡This season was something else. When I finally sat down and dedicated time to finishing it, I was pleasantly surprised. The themes in this season were fresh and all equally connected. I didn't feel there were any plot holes. The idea of family is something continuous in this series but with the new characters it ties into different members of team Flash. Each member has their own story that uniquely ties into the central thread throughout the timeline. Can I also add what a better season this was!!! This one had more depth that meets face value. Give this season a watch if you love the themes I mentioned.
