Freaky Friday (2003) Review

Freaky Friday [2003]

Directed by: Mark Waters

What happens when two completely different people switch places for the day? I mean different. The Mom is all business and the daughter is all into rebellion. Will this magical swaperoo give them both a lesson they need to feel grounded and connected?

I really enjoyed this when it first came out in 2003. I liked Jamie Lee Curtis the most and even Lohan. However viewing this almost 19 years later gives you a change of perspective. So here's the negatives.

The negatives: I don't understand why Hollywood has the need to project "punk" or "edgy" characters in such a corny matter. 😬🤣 I mean come on! 🤣 That is always going to be a silent pet peeve of mine. Plus I kind of feel sorry for Jamie Lee Curtis' character.

The plus' : I loved that at the end of the film you takeaway to appreciate your family and to also be more accepting of yourself. To stand up for what is right. Plus, that solo was pretty 🔥despite being followed by a weird side sway but I'm being nitpicky so I'll stop. Lol 😅
