GLOW Season 1-3 Review

GLOW season 1-3

Created by: Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch

Streamed on: Netflix

We follow the ladies through ups and downs in 1985 and on. We see the beginnings from tough times to the path that lead them to recognition and Vegas! Vegas with all the glitz and glamour is the stage for season 3.

This series does not only paint the picture of their lives but the director and etc... I personally feel the first two seasons were the best but the third felt like too much of a soap opera for me. I get some of the draw to their matches was some drama but at least it tied into their matches. All the drama that was heavily plastered in season 3 lost its interest on me. If you're watching for wrestling you won't find much in season 3.

With all the drama the ladies find themselves in Red Rock Canyon; raising up like phoenixes from who they were before arriving. It fuels their hunger for success on and off the stage. Season 3 does bring some good stories like the further development of my favorite character Tammé. Her struggles of perseverance, being a mother, and the imagery and persona she has built a reputation for and the new feeling of reinvention.

The ladies reinvent themselves time and time again but have they finally hit a road block or will they continue to dominate their audience? Check it out!

Good storyline for the most part. Great costumes, solid soundtrack, and overall, a good series! Belle was the most aggravating next to Ruth for me; then again... they are the main event and main protagonists.

8/10 Season 1 & 2,

Season 3 6/10
