Holidays (2016) Review

Holidays [2016]

Directed by: Kevin Smith, Gary Shore, Adam Egypt Mortimer, Scott Stewart, Nicholas McCarthy, Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch, Sarah Adina Smith and Anthony Scott Burns

A interesting #anthologyhorror film around all types of holidays in a sequential order leading up to the big bang of New Year's Eve!

There's no connected thread between the short stories. Some are grimmer than others. Some feel like a thriller versus horror. The strongest one's in my personal opinion were Christmas and New Year's Eve. I liked Valentine's Day because it kind of read like Carrie but not entirely.

The short stories all had unique elements that tied in to the holidays. I liked the twist of New Year's Eve. If you're looking for a somewhat eccentric collection of horror shorts try this out. The Father's Day one definitely felt like a thriller versus horror despite the "father".

6.8/10 overall,

NYE 7.3/10
