Home Alone (1990)
Directed by: Chris Columbus
Writer: John Hughes
Ah, the holidays bring about quite the buzz. No pun not intended. Some families stay in, some have no plans really, and some like the McCallister's travel. However, one would think to always double check you don't leave anything or anyone behind. 😱
Kevin wakes up to find he is left home alone and for an 8 year old kid oh, the possibilities seem endless as we see. However, he's not the only one eager for this opportunity as some baddies have their eyes set on his block's riches. When you're 8 and home alone what are you to do?
This is a family favorite here in my home. One that has gotten enough rewatches yet I still personally love my Charlie Brown Christmas Special (last years review). That's just me. I liked the lesson this one teaches you. That even when things get less ideal there's family. I also appreciate that he helped shatter this less favorable image of his neighbor the audience are lead to believe. He taught his neighbor to reflect and to rediscover the opportunity for a better path. Appearances can be deceiving. It's a fun film where an 8 year old apparently has more understanding of schematics than some of its audience has. I mean how elaborate are his traps?! Lol 🤷♀️😂 I cringe in pain and I laugh. It's a fun film. I mean for us versus Marv and Harry. 😂😂😂😂🎄
