Knives Out [2019]
Directed by: Rian Johnson
Starring: Ana De Armas, Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Jaime Lee Curtis, and Christopher Plummer
My thoughts: In a classic whodunit format all eyes turn on the next when the head of the family is found dead. At first, everything seems to be one outcome. However, as the plot slowly develops you find out everything isn't what it seems. In true format, and several red herrings we get a new spin on one of my favorite film genres. Mysteries! Elements in this genre is what brought my attention to this film. I laughed, I gasped, and I enjoyed this film!! Always figuring I have the mystery solved it turns out again everything isn't as it seems.
Great and cohesive plot. I didn't find it slow moving. It's a mystery! The plot needs time to develop. I think it ran for the appropriate time. I didn't lose interest and I found myself completely engulfed in the story. Not trying to miss any detail! Great casting, each character was memorable! Costumes were brilliant and vibrant! The setting was elusive and mysterious. Not to mention it was visually stunning and covered in detail!
Final Score: 10/10
