Only Lovers Left Alive Review

Only Lovers Left Alive [2013]

Directed by: Jim Jarmusch

Although world's apart, Eve hears her lovers subtle call for help. He feels withdrawn and completely on the edge of the world plagued by "zombies". He's grown listless and contemplates just ending it all. Can Eve save Adam before it's too late?

Aristocratic, beautiful, and deeply lyrical. This film is ravishing and I love the play on vampire lore. It breathes a freshness with it's subtle clues. As the audience, you feel truly like you are on the outside looking in. Two star crossed lovers, worlds apart but connected. They transfix their audience with their presence. This film is truly alluring. As the settings are. It tells the story of two lovers, who are so in love and through the turbulent changes of surviving history it's together they truly found their place.  They have each other and it's together with each change pulling them further and further away from the contaminated world that they find the urge to survive.
