I wasn't sure how they were going to pull off this one but with Guillermo del Toro on this project I knew anything was possible. I can't give any synopsis plot points because it would give spoilers. Simply this, if you love a imaginatively immersive horror film this is for you. The setting really pulls you in. The tie in's with the book were well done. Strong cast and believable story-line.The score was awesome and really aided in the story overall. The cinematography is beautifully executed. One of the characters rooms were something most of us can relate to. Great story and worth the watch. Go into this with a taste for nostalgia and an open mind you won't be disappointed. Two thumbs way up on this one. I was terrified of this book growing up because of the illustrations. The vision presented encompassed it well.
