The Artist (2011)
Directed by: Michel Hazanavicius
The Artist, is one of those alluring enigma's I still am drawn to years after my first initial rewatch.
It's a story about the rise and fall of the cat's meow, George Valentin. ❤ As society moves in with the new he clings onto the familiarities of the past. A familiar motif if one could say so. It's transfixing cinematography and attention to details is something that I'm still in awe over. It also has earned its spot in the #1001filmsyoumustseebeforeyoudie . It's pacing might be complicated for some but to me it's about the story. The air of romance, a fresh perspective that in my opinion Hollywood needs to continue to visit. It truly is visual art and one I can't say or sum up in entirety how wonderful it really is.
I don't own many subway movie posters but I own this one. I actually bought from Family Video when they used to sell posters and were open. I love this film. I love it sooo much. It's one of my favorites and one I'd easily recommend to someone who could appreciate it for what it's worth. Bravo, Michael Hazanavicius Bravo 👏👏 12/10
