The Boy (2016)

Directed by: William Brent Bell

Greta Evans hope's to escape from her past and arrives with new hope's in a beautiful scenic English country side. She has taken a job as caretaker to a families young boy. As she soon finds out, what she expected was definitely not what was in the details. The Heelshires child is unlike any child she might have expected to be under her care. He's a porcelain doll and thinking it's a cruel joke she frankly upsets the Heelshires promptly. Trying to reconcile her ill judgment Greta is informed by Brahm's mother on the strict regiment that has been in place to care for her son. So the story begins...

Greta foolishly takes this as a free pass to dismiss the strict outlines that have been placed for her under the Heelshires of Brahm. But... he's not going to just silently sit there as she runs amok in his home. No, he's about to turn the tables on Greta. Greta soon realizes that the porcelain doll really has a spirit and it's not happy with how he's been treated. Trying to appease to her he promises to be better if she plays by the rules. But things are about to go south when someone from Greta's past comes to disrupt the already somewhat calm plot.

Will Greta find out the truth about Brahm's or will he seal her fate?

Trying to withhold myself from giving away too much. I really enjoyed this one. I loved the estate and English Country side. I felt the story was well developed. The setting and everything really held the mood well. I thought the casting was well done.
