The Crow (1994)
Directed by: Alex Proyas
Story by: James O'Barr
Eric Draven, arises from the great beyond after a day that was to be of joy turns tragic. He descends onto the perpetrators of the brutal murder of his beloved Shelly and his, with a vendetta to right the wrong that was done unto them. His love for his fiancée gives him purpose to make them pay. Will his revenge ease his spirit?
This film truly is one of favorite love stories. It's pace is pretty steady. It's relentless spirit is carried by Eric who is on quest to right the wrongs that were so cruelly dished out on him and the love of his life. It's tragic and cruel. It also shows a perspective that love surpasses even our understanding. That the love Eric has for Shelly will not rest until justice is served. His story helps many along the way. It's poetic. It's beautifully written. I wouldn't change a thing.
The graphic novel is equally as poetic.
