The Mandalorian [2019]
Directed by: Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Deborah ChowBryce, Dallas Howard, Taika Waititi
Starring: Pedro Pascal
It's 5 years after Return of the Jedi and the story revolves around a lone mandalorian and his journey. The world he knew seems to be long gone. Passing each day to the next with a routine selecting missions he has grown accustomed to. A routine he molded to help carry some form of excitement yields the same turn around day in and day out. However, sometimes the missions you choose lead you down a path you never expected to take. How far will one go to accomplish their mission? Is anything truly expendable? His path leads him down the road to where he finds himself asking these very same questions internally. His journey brings him to an unforeseen source and rather unexpectedly their stories begin to intertwine. The life he has grown accustomed to might now suddenly change when he makes and chooses his next step. What results will it yield? Without giving spoilers you'll have to tune in and find out.
My thoughts: Truly entertaining. I loved the aesthetic of the series. Everything worked from direction, plot, characters, music, and setting. I didn't find myself losing track or being confused. The series was well done and I recommend it. I love the themes and I loved the plot!
Final Score: 9.5/10
