Lucy comes from a broken home. Growing up in a broken home she finds herself more alone than she bargained for. The people she loves are on a battlefield. Poor Lucy suffers the repercussions. Her abusive father goes too far and thus she is placed in foster care. She longs for the love of her mother but throughout the film you realize young Lucy is the mother to others that she yearns for. She is placed under the responsibility of her now roommate, Lauren. Lauren is self destructive, fighting habits to fill the void of emptiness that is her life. At first she's apprehensive to Lucy but bonds with her. You begin to see the doomed pattern of Lucy. Doomed to roam the world with only her clothes on her back to keep her warm. Forever roaming trying to belong. Listless for love.
Depressing. Absolutely soul crushing depressing. Real. Strong cinematography and soundtrack that tugs on your heart strings.
