The Witches [2020]
Directed by: Robert Zemeckis
Beware! A young boy is warned by his grandmother of the dangers that lurk in the dark. Behind the beautiful exterior could lie a woman with evil plans. His young mind, is filled with images of women he will soon encounter called witches.
The setting is 1967 Alabama when a young boy is placed under the car of his dear grandmama. Thinking now is a good as time as any they both embark to a glorious hotel but so do a group of peculiarly strange women. Who are they? 🤔
Well, I think if I saw this at a younger age I might have been scared of it too. There were scenes that could have scared me. A compare and contrast review is in the works. I did enjoy it but not as much as the original. Hathaway's performance to me personally felt forced and a bit...drab. Sorry. I eagerly anticipated the end of the film. 😅 I think the rest of the cast was great. I loved the overall ambience but to me personally something felt like it was missing. I'm not sure what.
