The fate of Jason Todd was one he never fully controlled. After a contest sealed by the very readers of his story he would no longer be Robin. As his fate was cruelly sealed with laughter. So should destiny lead him down a different path as the origin of Red Hood resurrected primitively from a Lazurus pit. Mad and hellbent on delivering his message to his notorious mentor. He would not show his vulnerability no more instead he shield's it with a vision. A vision of a different Gotham where it's protector isn't afraid to cross whatever means necessary to bring justice to it's door. Especially, justice which haunts his mentor to this very moment. His ultimate failure. Where the Clown Prince of crime truly has won this scenario. Clouded with anger and disappointment Todd presents the Bat a chance to make things right. Either end one failure or watch Todd exact a cruel irony on the Joker. Who truly prevails?

When I first read the story I was fascinated with paradigm of his character. There was so many layers to his character that just read anti-hero. He's not a hero by any rule but he kind of falls in that place. He's not quite a villain although some could argue that. His character is this shadow hanging over Batman completely free of remorse and fueled with vengeance to set Bruce free. Free from his opinion of antiquated moral codes to truly bring justice to Gotham. You would think that killing his partner would be the straw that breaks the back (pun not intended) of the bat. This just proves how strong his code is and how committed to this role he is. Todd is a character that I will always find fascinating. Through each story I read the more I feel I continue to connect the dots to his story line.
