I'll be honest, I don't know much on the canon of Venom. So, I went into this with a mindset of it being a new Marvel film. Like any action or comic representation you start with the origin basics. The beginning of the film was quite difficult for me to keep interest. I'm a fan of Bane, I mean Tom Hardy 😅👌 (DC humor) so for me to lose any remote interest in his work it's got to be uninteresting. The first segments in the film weren't interesting. Of course, it's all about the build up to the character so after trying to start it from the beginning again I was able to proceed. I became interested when the film started to progress more into the persona of Venom. Afterwards, I found myself laughing at few jokes randomly thrown in. I even looked for Stan Lee's cameo. ❤😭 Overall, it kept my attention. It had good action sequences. The actors all did a good job portraying their roles. Good rental.
