For the love of Buffy
In my teens when everyone else was excited about Friends I was excited to watch Buffy. Not that I didn't mind Friends, but it never drew me in like Buffy did. After school, I'd patiently wait to find out what happened next. Usually I'd sit by the screen with my bowl of cereal wishing I could be a member of the 'Scoobies' and help stop the baddies. This show had it all, ambient settings, sarcasm and wit, solid scores, strong characters, interesting and memorable baddies, and one of my first 'MCM' lol Spike.
I loved the chemistry and I loved the story line. Unfortunately, I started to lose interest when Dawn came into the story. I look back nostalgically at the glory that was Buffy the Vampire slayer and no pun not intended. A strong woman who I could somewhat identify with in my teens. Today marks the end of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on May 20, 2003. Buffy had it all for me in my teens. Possibly 'Ripper' or Giles is the reason I found myself eagerly with my nose buried in a book. To think years later I'm working at a library. Don't worry! "I won't speak Latin in front of the books!"

Buffy the Vampire Slayer was a series I have loved for many years since it originally aired. It had everything. The drama, romance, horror, humor, but mostly companionship. Buffy Summers isn't your average teenager by no means. Her resilience and especially when I first heard this quote so many years ago it just deeply resonated with me. Even now, I knew which quote to share. It's this one. If you can sum up Morgana Ghastly it's that.
It speaks on her never give up attitude. While other kids were looking to other role models I had Buffy. Ultimate bad ass, dear friend, big heart, lots of sass, and enough spirit to never give up. 🖤 Thank you, Buffy for showing your viewers to be resilient and to believe in yourself. Armed with Mr. Pointy, and sarcasm there's not a baddie that can stop us
