I'm a fan of old Hollywood movies and Esther Williams so, there was an initial appeal to the film. The story itself is a powerful story but it didn't translate well on screen. I feel like it dragged on too long. At one point, it just became background. I forgot at points it was even on. Some of the characters were just bland in her story. I wish this was shorten and it might have worked. I did like the big number at the end. It was visually pretty but overall this one I wouldn't recommend.
